Our Story

My journey began in Canada over four decades ago, where I discovered a passion for cooking, especially grilling and barbecuing. Even in the cold, I was drawn to the flame and always eager to learn more about the craft.

When I moved to Texas in 2010, I was introduced to the heart of authentic BBQ culture. It changed everything.

Blending my Canadian roots with my new home in Texas, a close friend suggested combining the two identities into one name, and Texanada BBQ was born in 2018.

What started as backyard cookouts with friends and family quickly grew into neighborhood competitions and serious refinement of technique. Over the years, I’ve focused on sourcing quality ingredients, mastering temperature control, and developing balanced seasonings and sauces, all in pursuit of delivering true Texas-style barbecue.

So what makes good BBQ truly great?

It’s knowledge. It’s quality. And above all, it’s passion.

Every brisket, every rack of ribs, every sauce is approached with discipline, care, and heart.

Barbecue brought my community together, and now I’m proud to share that experience with Missouri City and beyond.

Some recipes carry personal history, like our house-made pickles, inspired by family memories and perfected over time.

Our handcrafted pickles are made in small batches, carefully prepared and allowed to develop deep, balanced flavor before they ever reach the menu.
