Our Story
My journey began in Canada over four decades ago, where I discovered a passion for cooking—especially grilling and barbecuing. Despite the cold weather, I was drawn to the flame and always eager to learn more. That curiosity followed me when I moved to Texas in 2010, where I was introduced to the heart of real BBQ culture. It was a game-changer.
Blending my Canadian roots with my new home in Houston, a close friend suggested combining the two in a name—Texanada BBQ was born in 2018. From backyard cookouts with friends and family to neighborhood competitions, I was hooked. Over the years, I’ve refined my techniques, sourced high-quality ingredients, and experimented with a range of seasonings and sauces—all in pursuit of the perfect BBQ experience.
So, what makes good BBQ truly great? It’s a mix of knowledge, quality, and an unwavering passion for the craft. I analyze every cook, learn from each experience, and approach every brisket, rib, or sauce with care and heart.
